What is the best credit card for cash back?

I have Amex Blue but they offer 5% after $ 6500 just for gas, drugs store and supermarket.. Is there any thing better out there.... I paid off every month so the interest rate does not matter....

If you are a big spender on credit cards, then the AmEx Blue Cash is the right card for you if you want cash back. After the $6500 level, you not only get 5% on the categories you mentioned, but you get 1.5% on everything else. No limit, either.

Another option is the Chase Freedom card which gives 3% on your top 3 spending categories every month. And a third good cashback card is the Pentagon Federal Credit Union card which gives 5% on gas and 1.5% on everything else. You have to become a member of Penfed first, but that can be done easily.

I would check that again. Those 5% guys usually give you 5% for a really small amount, like the first 1200 or 1500 dollars or so at certain places and then drop to 1% for another 1200 or 1500 and then drop to 0.25% which is nothing really. I have an HSBC credit card that gives 2% back on ALL purchases no matter what. You see, credit cards get about a 3% fee for everything you purchase, so they cant very well give 5% for very long and still make money. A fixed 2% card that doesnt change ever is the best you can get.|||costco amex gives 1% for most purchases, then 2% and 3% for travel and eating out. IDK which is 2 and which is 3 though. I do alot of travelling and eating out so I pretty much use that card exclusively|||you might want to go here to compare them, pick one that is right for u
