I get those offers in the mail all the time. I always just shred them, but I often wonder what it means to be pre-approved. Doesn%26#039;t everyone get those offers, even those individuals who would be turned down if they applied? What%26#039;s the point?

I%26#039;ve been turned down on %26quot;pre-approved%26quot; credit cards before. Pre-approved means you are pre-approved to be accepted to carry a credit card but they don%26#039;t tell you that you can be denied after the fact, after they do a check on your credit history. Then after they get your response or attempt to be accepted they bomb you with offer after offer and they sell your address to mailing address harvesters then the domino effect just keeps happening. AVOID CREDIT CARDS AT ALL COST! It will be the ruin of your finances.

means you have been prescreened by them and ok d ,but final approval depends if you fir the final criteria like income and credit score
