Light rental car damage: fix it?

I broke the left rear-view mirror.

Shall I try to have it fixed?

Shall I let Enterprise repair it and give me the bill? (How much do you think?)

my credit card offers insurance for the car, but it%26#039;s a pain in the butt, they say I have to get a police report...

Any opinion welcome! Thanks

I%26#039;ll tell you as an ex-rental car office manager - get 3 to 4 estimates. Talk to a few people about this, they may know someone who works or owns a body shop and then you may get a price break. Usually rental cars aren%26#039;t top of the line so unless the mirror was the heated type or it had the signal light in it, you could get by paying for it out of your own pocket for less than $350.00 plus labor. There%26#039;s no right answer to this one, it%26#039;s all up to you and want you want to do!

It%26#039;s my fault.|||repair it yourself, they are going to charge you more|||if all you did was brake the mirror, i would just replace it, if you just give it to enterprise they will make you do a police report and it im pretty sure will go against your insurance, its not hard to fix but i am going to school to be an auto tech so it might be kinda hard for other people|||Depends on what kind of car you are talking about. could be as little as 250.00 as much as 2500.00 Some of the new cars with the heated mirrors and turn signals get expensive. If you used the credit card to rent the car use it if they will let you.
