I had the 3 magazines and thought that was the end of it, but,today on my statement I found they have taken a full subscription of 锟?.
when I phoned them they said I had authorised it when I took the special offer, I did not.
They will not refund the money and I have now received another which magazine. I am very annoyed with them because I feel they ahould have asked me if I want to continue, and not just take my money.
Have you had an experience of anything like this where people just take money from your card account because they have the number.

It does happen..... You should always read the small print.|||Agree with the 1st answer. I can see your anger but normally for magazine sub or most special offers they are only on offer to get your card details and then...in the %26#039;small print%26#039; they can you can cancel at any time during the special offer, if you don%26#039;t then the subscription will continue...
I would look at it as a learning point and be glad it%26#039;s not a lot of money...but I don%26#039;t think there is anything you can do about it.|||Yes, companies do this all the time. The special offer probably said in the small print that you were subscribing to the full subscription and that to contact them before the offer had finished to cancel it.
You can call your credit card company to tell them that you didn%26#039;t authorise the payment and send back (unopened) any magazines that Which send/sent you after the 3 from the offer.|||These offers nearly always leave it up to you to do something if you don%26#039;t want to carry on subscribing. They hope people either won%26#039;t notice the small print, or will be too lazy to cancel, or will forget to do it in time. It%26#039;s not just Which - loads of magazines run this sort of offer, as well as book clubs.
The following is the summary of their offer I found on their website:
%26quot;You will receive the next 3 issues of Which? for 锟?, as they are published. Your payment of 锟? will be requested within 14 days of your trial request.
You don%26#039;t need to do anything if you wish to continue Which? after your trial period. Your subscription will bring you Which? at 锟?.25 a month, from the 1st day of the 3rd month after the date of receipt of your trial request, until you cancel by writing to us or until we advise you of a change in price.
You will be notified at least six weeks in advance of any changes in the price of your subscription. You may of course cancel your subscription at any time.
If you do not wish your subscription to continue beyond the trial period, simply write and tell us that you wish to cancel it (and to your bank/building society to cancel your Direct Debit instruction if you were paying by Direct Debit) before the first of the month after the receipt of your 3 trial issues. You can keep everything you have already received and you won%26#039;t owe us a penny.%26quot;
So this means that yes, unless you wrote to them and told them that you wanted to cancel, they were going to assume you wanted to continue.|||I got caught by them as well put a stop on the standing order, and that will show them.
